Mo is now recognized as one of the key thought leaders in the vegan and plantbased food movement. In 2013, she launched Seed + Salt, one of the first vegan/plantbased QSR concepts in the US that has helped set the standard for fast casual clean food. Seed + Salt attracted clientele from all over the world and its veggie burger was cited by The Food Network as one of the top 10 in the US. The restaurant was subsequently featured in Vogue Japan as one of the key inspirations for Top Chef alum Melissa King’s Tokyo based restaurant. Seed + Salt has also been featured in media worldwide, including Elle Denmark, Bon Appetit, Food & Wine, New York Magazine, goop, Architectural Digest Spain, NatGeo Travel and PBS worldwide.
Most recently, Mo co-founded Black Acorn Ventures, a company dedicated to reshaping wellness, happiness + the food system through transformative, next level foods.
Mo has been featured in media such as Fortune, San Francisco Business Times, Elle, C Magazine, SF Chronicle, Mother Mag, Distinct, Well + Good and Vogue. She was named by Origin Magazine as one of the top 100 people changing the world.
