note from mo
We are so thankful…
It is with humble pride and love that I am announcing that after 3 incredible years Seed + Salt will be closing on our third anniversary, November 28.
I am happy to say we are ending on a high note – we are feeding more folks from the Bay Area and all over the world than ever before.
I truly hope and believe that we’ve made a difference by helping set a new standard for what people expect from plant-based foods and the food industry as a whole.
The team and customers who have gathered around Seed + Salt are what made it all so worthwhile. I cherish all of you who supported what everyone told me was an insane idea – you made it make not only sense but a difference in people’s lives. I wish I could say that the restaurant gave so much to the world but in the end it was me that really learned so much and was given a gift. There’s a lot to celebrate.
But why, you might ask, are you closing now? Good question.
This was the hardest decision I have ever had to make. While Seed + Salt was a pure labor of love, one to which so many contributed, there has always been a higher purpose – the idea that shifting what we eat will completely elevate the vibration of what we experience as people, the planet and our future.
And the reality is that the space and team are too small.
I had to really consider the time, space and resources it would take to make Seed + Salt fit the growing demand for its food. I knew I would have to move the space – and on top of that, change the way we did business in order to make it work. Ultimately, I realized I needed to take a 3 month hiatus and put the restaurant on the back burner (so to speak) while figuring it all out. I have learned life is fluid and sometimes you just need to let things unfold.
